The 2019 UEFA Super cup ended in a dramatic sequence as Liverpool beat Chelsea 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 result in extra time. Olivier Giroud opened the scoring for Chelsea in the first half as new boy Christian Pulisic was the provider.
The VAR ruled out two Chelsea goals in both the halves which allowed Liverpool to seep back in the game through Sadio Mane. Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian saved Tammy Abraham’s spot kick which handed European champions their fourth Super cup.
