Marc Marquez was denied his first win at Spielberg’s Red Bull Ring in Austria by Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso in a one two tussle at the front. The Spanish champion looked to have beaten the Italian but lost his victory in dramatic style by a margin of 0.213 seconds.
It was a 59th pole start for Marquez on his powerful Honda motorbike but the destiny was not quite his. Fabio Quartararo finished in the final podium spot and did Petronas Yamaha SRT proud.
Marquez sits at the top of rider’s championship comfortably with 230 points, 58 ahead of Dovizioso who is second with eight races left to go.
