Manchester City beat Liverpool on penalties to win the 2019 Community Shield at Wembley. They are the first English club to win four domestic titles in one year.
Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for City in the 12th minute but a Joel Matip header levelled the score for Liverpool in 78th minute of the match.
Georginio Wijnaldum saw his penalty saved by Cluadio Bravo in the shootout which handed Manchester City the shield after a 5-4 result.
