Algeria have won the Africa Cup of Nations after beating Senegal 1-0 in the final. Baghdad Bounedjah’s quickfire strike in the opening two minutes of the game gave Algeria an early lead.
A VAR review saw Senegal’s penalty ruled out in the second half which was enough for Algeria to win the competition for a second time since 1990.
