Novak Djokovic edged past Roger Federer in the men’s Wimbledon final to win his 16th career Grand Slam on Sunday. The Serbian defended two Championship points to stay in the game and beat one of the most iconic tennis players of all time in Federer.
The match was settled in a fifth set tiebreak where Djokovic overpowered the Swiss maestro with his speed and stamina. The 32 year old won all his sets in tiebreak and found it very difficult to break his opponent’s serve.
